John:
We have to act now to urge Congress to oppose the creation of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and the proposed appointments of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to this agency.
This new department, introduced by President-elect Donald Trump, is billed as a means to streamline federal operations. But instead, this department is expected to pave the way for widespread deregulation, corporate favoritism, and diminished government accountability. We believe, these reasons among many, make Musk and Ramaswamy’s DOGE a disaster waiting to happen.
Please, add your name: Stand against Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” >> |
-
Lack of Public Service Experience: Musk and Ramaswamy are corporate moguls with no background in public service. Government is about serving people, not profit—something neither of these leaders has shown a commitment to.
-
Conflicts of Interest: Both have significant business ties to industries that benefit from lax regulations. Putting them in charge of efficiency reform risks favoritism toward their interests and big businesses, rather than safeguarding public needs.
-
Deregulation Disguised as Efficiency: "Efficiency" here could mean removing protections. With Musk and Ramaswamy at the helm, we could see environmental, labor, and consumer protections slashed under the guise of "streamlining."
- Privatization of Public Services: DOGE could push to outsource critical government functions to corporations, reducing transparency and accountability to taxpayers, while increasing corporate profits.
- Threat to Democracy: Government must be accountable to the people, not corporate elites. This department could erode public trust and prioritize corporate power over democratic values.

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
