Dear Friend,
Following the re-election of Donald Trump, we know that the future holds the promise of assaults on all the things we hold dear. The social safety net will come under attack with renewed force. Immigrant communities will be targeted with mass deportations. The rights of low-wage workers will be further eroded.
Whatever extreme policies are in store, what we do know for certain is that the people who will be most impacted by Trump’s second term will be the same people who have always borne the brunt of discrimination. These are the people we serve in our work.
The lawyers of the National Center for Law and Economic Justice have the tools to fight back. From expanding access to SNAP benefits for low-income families around the country, to combating racially discriminatory policing practices, to protecting the rights of families to safe and healthy homes free from health hazards like lead paint, we are prepared to rise to the urgency of this moment.
We must continue our work, now more than ever before.
Every year, Giving Tuesday unleashes the power of people to transform their communities and amplify their social impact by giving back. This major day of action is one of the biggest fundraising days of the year for nonprofits like ours – and with just two weeks to go until Giving Tuesday on December 2, I’m urging you to make NCLEJ a priority in your charitable contributions.
I’m asking each and every one of our supporters to help us meet our major End-of-Year fundraising goal of $70,000. Help us fight back against the extreme policies of the second Trump administration in 2025 by donating ahead of Giving Tuesday. ([link removed])
Thank you,
