Your Compassion Endures
When You Empower People in Need »

Dear
John,

As the holiday season nears and you're able to reflect on the
blessings in your life, I want to thank you for also thinking of the
vulnerable people of this world who live in precarious circumstances.

Too many people still suffer from debilitating diseases that can be
easily prevented or cured. And too many are haunted by violence or
have had their human rights violated.

Your compassion today can change their lives forever.

When you take the time to send a gift - whatever you can afford
- you'll help give people the knowledge and tools they need to
fight disease, resolve violent conflict, vote in free and fair
elections, and advance their human rights.

Everyone has a right to peaceful coexistence, the basic personal
freedoms, the alleviation of suffering, and the opportunity to lead a
productive life. - Jimmy Carter

Your gift of compassion will go toward long-term change, sustained by
the very people we are helping. Your support means Carter Center staff
and volunteers can travel to challenging situations that no one else
is willing to address. And we're committed to doing so in measurable
ways embraced by all levels of society.

I hope you agree that empowering people in need is the most meaningful
way you can celebrate the holiday season. Thank you for making this a
better world!

Sincerely,

Paige Alexander
