We ask for a $65 donation because that’s ALL it takes to provide a full year of training for an athlete with intellectual disabilities (ID). Think about that. Here’s one inspiring example. Special Olympics athlete Lani De Mello has won countless gold medals and shared her passion and talent for gymnastics with others as a coach. But, when she was an infant recently diagnosed with an ID, doctors told Lani’s mother that “she’s never going to achieve anything.” 

It took consistent training and competing, a whole lot of heart, and support from the Special Olympics community, but Lani proved them wrong!
