Folks, you may have seen that yesterday, I launched my campaign for Governor of New Jersey.

And the momentum we’ve seen has been incredible.

Tania from Hoboken chipped in $10. William from Wayne added $25. Kailash in Bloomfield got in on the action, too.

The point is: It doesn’t take much to make a difference in this people-powered campaign. This campaign belongs to all of us — and it’s not going to be about me. It will always be about working for you.

It will be about making groceries, child care, and housing more affordable. It will be about making our communities safer. And with Republicans taking control of Washington, it will be about protecting our fundamental rights from extremists who want to take them away.

That’s what my work in Congress has always been about. It’s why I fought so hard to bring back over $58 billion for New Jersey — critical funding to invest in everything from preventing auto thefts to improving service at NJ Transit. It’s why I stood up to Republicans who tried to restrict reproductive care for service members. And it’s why I voted to pass the most comprehensive gun safety package in three decades.
