Pennsylvania Supreme Court Orders Democrats to Stand Down

Townhall: Republican Dave McCormick defeated incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), but he refused to concede. Even with no path given how much vote is left and how provisional ballots land, with most being rejected due to not meeting the benchmark requirements for authenticity, McCormick’s lead was viewed by both Republicans and Democrats as insurmountable. Most of the outstanding ballots were in red counties, like Cambria. It was over, but Casey and lawyer Marc Elias were finding ways to steal it. In Bucks County, the Democratic commissioners obliged, defying the courts and declaring that illegal ballots would be counted. The Republicans’ legal team filed a challenge, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued its ruling. They ordered the immediate cessation of counting illegal ballots in the totally unnecessary recount (Townhall). Reporter Carter Walker: In case over undated/incorrectly dated mail ballots, the PA Supreme Court says the ballots “shall not be counted” for the Nov. 5 election (X). Consultant Mark Davin Harris: The PA Supreme Court has sided with the McCormick campaign and ordering an immediate end to the unlawful acts of the counties on this issue (X). Salina Zito: The court’s new decision to block the officials was made 7-0 on the merits and 4-3 on procedural matters, with Justice David Wecht. Wecht is a liberal with no love lost for GOP, but even he is sick of the Democrats’ shenanigans (X).

Trump Confirms He Will Utilize Military for Mass Deportations; ACLU Sues
Katie Pavlich: President-elect Donald Trump is confirming new details about how he plans to deport nearly 20 million illegal aliens who entered the country during President Joe Biden’s time in the White House. “On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out. I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail, then kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible,” Trump said on the campaign trail before handily winning the election on November 5. Posting on Truth Social Monday morning, Trump confirmed plans to issue an emergency declaration for use of military assets to undertake the task (Townhall). Tom Fitton: President Donald Trump confirms he is prepared to declare a national emergency and use the military assets to reverse the Biden invasion (X). Washinton Post: Civil-liberties lawyers alarmed by President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to launch mass deportations of undocumented immigrants sued the federal government Monday for information about how authorities might quickly remove people from the United States. Lawyers said the information is urgent because of Trump’s election victory this month and his upcoming inauguration on Jan. 20. Advocates for immigrants have accused ICE and its contractors of treating migrants harshly and holding them in inhumane conditions (Washington Post).

Boston Mayor Promises to Protect Illegal Immigrants in Her City
Fox News: Boston’s Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu said in an interview on Sunday that her city won’t cooperate with the looming mass deportation operation from the incoming Trump administration — even as the region sees a number of illegal immigrants with criminal charges released back onto the streets. Wu was asked in an interview with WCVB about the Trump administration’s plans to launch a mass deportation operation when it takes office in January, and was asked what Boston’s response will be (Fox News). Bill Melugin: These sanctuary policies protect child rapists. That is not an exaggeration or hyperbole. Every week, ICE’s Boston office is arresting illegal aliens charged w/ child rape who have been released from local custody after ICE’s detainer requests were ignored. It’s very disturbing (X).

Sweden, Finland Warn Citizens of War in Wake of Biden Escalating War in Ukraine
Daily Mail: Sweden is sending out five million pamphlets to residents urging them to prepare for the possibility of war, with instructions on how to stockpile food and even seek shelter during a nuclear attack, as fears grow of a conflict between Russia and NATO. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Stockholm has repeatedly urged Swedes to prepare both mentally and logistically for a possible conflict, citing the worsening security situation in its vicinity. The booklet ‘If Crisis or War Comes’, sent out by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), contains information about how to prepare for emergencies such as war, natural disasters, cyber attacks and terrorism… It comes as tensions between Moscow and Ukraine’s western allies have escalated to new heights, with the Biden administration yesterday giving Kyiv the green light to blast targets inside Russia with US-supplied long-range missiles (Daily Mail). Mario Nawfal: Finland has launched a similar preparedness campaign as both countries step up defenses after joining NATO in response to Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Swedish officials warn of potential Russian aggression, with NATO warplanes now closely monitoring escalating activity near Ukraine (X).

President Biden’s Spending Problem Is to Blame for Inflation
Wall Street Journal: President Biden hadn’t even been inaugurated when he and his senior advisers made a monumental gamble in January 2021 that would reverberate through his presidency. Fresh on the heels of a $900 billion Covid-relief bill that Congress had approved weeks earlier, Biden proposed a $1.9 trillion stimulus bill… The result was the American Rescue Plan, a package that boosted a child tax credit, sent $1,400-per-person direct payments to households, and directed $350 billion to state and local governments. Politically, those choices backfired. Billions of dollars in Covid-19 aid were already coursing through the economy, the aftereffect of bipartisan spending measures under Donald Trump. Strong demand from Biden’s additional fiscal stimulus, ultralow interest rates and a successful vaccine rollout ran headlong into crippled supply chains and discombobulated labor markets (Wall Street Journal). Rabit Hole: Government spending per capita. $6,771 to $26,679 is a pretty big jump (X). Elon Musk: As a reminder, excess government spending is what causes inflation (X).

California Parental Group Demands Investigation Into School District After Hosting a “Non-Whites” Event
Daily Wire: A parental rights group requested a federal probe of a California school district after it hosted an event last year that explicitly excluded white faculty members. Parents Defending Education sent a letter on Monday requesting that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigate the Acalanes Union High School District in Lafayette, California, for racial discrimination. The group said that the district was violating federal civil rights law by offering racially exclusionary programming for faculty members. The complaint stems from an incident last year when district’s director of student equity and inclusion Lynnā McPhatter-Harris hosted an event for all non-white employees in the district. In an email, she sent out an invitation for an event saying for an event for non-white district employees. The group has focused on highlighting how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs have been adopted across the country (Daily Wire).

Biden Asks Congress for $100 Billion to Fund Disaster Relief
Washington Examiner: The Biden White House is pressuring Congress to pass a new supplemental funding request to assist with disaster relief and recovery worth roughly $100 billion. President Joe Biden sent House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) a letter about the request on Monday. It includes $40 billion to replenish the Federal Emergency Management Agency‘s Disaster Relief Fund and an additional $2 billion to refill the Small Business Administration’s disaster loan assistance program (Washington Examiner). Politico: As long as Congress clears disaster aid before the December funding deadline, FEMA estimates that the nation’s disaster relief fund will have enough cash to keep funding recovery work, assuming no large disasters strike in the meantime. The Small Business Administration’s disaster loan program, however, has been out of cash for over a month. So more than 10,000 loan offers are now on pause for homeowners and businesses trying to borrow money to repair properties or cover operating expenses (Politico).

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Reverses Immigration Policy: “10 years too late”
Washington Examiner: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s new viral video explaining the nation’s new immigration system has received mixed reactions on social media. Trudeau announced Canada will be capping immigration for the next three years after its population broke 41 million. According to the prime minister, this was a “baby boom” speed that the country could barely withstand. As a result, the government announced it would lessen the allowed immigration by 20% (Washington Examiner). Conservative Press Secretary Shon Amayev: Young individuals will most likely never be able to afford a home in this country because of your failed immigration policy. Now that you are on the verge of losing power, you renege. 10 years too late (X). Pierre Poilievre: Classic Trudeau: he creates a problem. Then he says he should have solved it sooner. He blames bad actors for immigration problems. No. He is the bad actor (X).

Over 800 IRS Employees Evading Paying Millions in Back Taxes
Washington Examiner: Over 800 Internal Revenue Service employees still owe millions in back taxes despite heavy criticism from Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), who is hoping the level of tax waste will be squashed by billionaire Elon Musk, the newly tapped co-leader of the Department of Government Efficiency. In a letter to the Iowa senator sent on Nov. 8, the IRS noted that of the 2,044 employees who reported having balances totaling more than $12 million, 860 employees still have not paid overdue taxes. Only 20 of the 70 employees who “willfully evaded” paying their taxes were removed (Washington Examiner). Paul Szypula: 149,000 federal employees owe $1.5 billion in unpaid taxes. 5,800 employees of the IRS and its contractors owe almost $50 million in overdue taxes. Yet Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to give the IRS billions more. Our government makes the rules but doesn’t follow them (X).
