Dear Neighbor and friend,

Thousands of voters in Alaska turned out for the 2024 elections and particularly for my campaign for the State Senate. We were able to defy expectations in a district that was deeply gerrymandered, against a formidable opponent with name recognition and incredible wealth. For now, we are ahead in the votes after all precincts have reported and most every remaining ballot has been opened and recorded.

There are a few things I would like to tell you before the race will be officially called and officially certified as early as Wednesday, November 20 barring any potential legal challenges.

First, thank you for believing in me even when pollsters and pundits believed it was a nearly impossible race to win.

Second, I am working full time in the office as we approach the legislative session in early January and am looking forward to being a member of the Senate Bipartisan Coalition once again and to build upon the focus on energy, education and the overall economy.

Third, during the last month as my campaign was being bombarded by out of state money and attack ads on television, radio and social media, we incurred a small debt. It is a lot to ask, but your small contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100 or more can help this campaign in the black and also be used to offset a future campaign account.

Thank you once again for all of your support over these last several months. Your time, money and prayers made all of the difference in my reelection and I look forward to settling down after this campaign to meet with all of my constituents for guidance. Together, we will continue to work hard to make Alaska a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
