While we’re gearing up to fight the billionaires and big corporations that
will use the corrupt Trump administration to amass even more wealth and
power for themselves, we also need to celebrate some victories the 2024
election produced.
PCCC members volunteered and donated over a million dollars in grassroots
donations. Together, we provided campaign support and training to over 600
current and future candidates running for offices from school board to
president. Our Call Out The Vote program enabled state and local
candidates to make over 20,000 phone calls and send over 130,000 text
messages to critical voters.
The wins that came from our work together this cycle will be essential in
the fight ahead.

Here is some of what we accomplished together:
* In the U.S. Senate, we helped Ruben Gallego (AZ), Tammy Baldwin (WI),
Andy Kim (NJ), Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Elissa Slotkin (MI), and Jacky
Rosen (NV). We were the first national group to support Andy when it
was risky and successfully swapped him in for the corrupt Robert
Menendez. Without these victories, Republicans would be dangerously
close to a filibuster-proof 60 votes.
* In the U.S. House, we helped Dave Min (CA-27) keep Katie Porter’s
seat, helped Laura Gillen (NY-04), Josh Riley (NY-19), John Mannion
(NY-22), and George Whitesides (CA-27) flip red seats to blue, helped
Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Angie Craig (MN-02), Andrea Salinas (OR-06),
Hillary Scholten (MI-03), Jared Golden (ME-02), Gabe Vasquez (NM-02),
Mike Levin (CA-49), Susie Lee (NV-03), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
(WA-03), Pat Ryan (NY-18) keep their seats, and helped Kristen
McDonald Rivet (MI-08), Sarah McBride (DE-AL), and Eugene Vindman
(VA-07) keep open blue seats safe in Democratic hands. Dave Tran’s
race in CA-45 hasn’t been called yet, but as of right now he is ahead
by 36 votes. If he keeps the lead, that will be another flip.
* At the state and local level, we helped secure pivotal victories:
breaking the GOP supermajority in North Carolina, defending critical
seats in Pennsylvania, and flipping Republican seats in Georgia and
Wisconsin, all while growing progressive power. Some notable wins
include:
* In Sarasota, FL, the birthplace of Moms for Liberty, PCCC
champion Liz Barker unseated a Moms for Liberty-aligned school
board incumbent.
* Bryce Berry and Mary Ann Santos flipped seats in Georgia's State
House and Nabilah Islam Parkes held her critical toss up seat and
increased her margin of victory over 2022.
* Julie von Haefen held her critical toss up seat in the North
Carolina House, which allowed Democrats to break the Republican
supermajority and give Democratic Governor Roy Cooper veto power.
* Danielle Friel Otten and Leanne Krueger held their key
Pennsylvania House seats, allowing Democrats to retain control of
the PA House.
* Cesar Aguilar, Seth Blattman, and Lorena Austin all secured
victories for Arizona State House within just a few points.
* Brianna Titone, first openly-transgender state legislator elected
in Colorado, won her re-election bid.
* Elected Minority Leader Greta Neubauer, Christian Phelps, and
Jenna Jacobson to the Wisconsin Assembly, part of their efforts
that picked up 9 seats in the Assembly so far.
These victories are proof that our collective action makes a difference.
In the months and years ahead, the stakes and the threats are higher than
ever, and it is crucial that Democrats stand up to the billionaires and
big corporations that will use this dark time to hurt workers and
consumers to enrich themselves even more.
