At NCOA, we know from experience that falls prevention programs can reduce older adults' risk of falling by helping them improve their balance and strength, remove trip hazards at home, and know how to talk with your doctor and family about steps they can take to stay injury-free.
Thanks to you, we are leading the way and delivering proven programs to older adults through our network of state coalitions, national partners, and community partners, ensuring that older adults are taking action to prevent falls, manage chronic disease, and improve overall mental health and wellness.
By making NCOA your charity of choice, we can continue empowering older adults, like Sue, to take strong steps forward.

At age 76, Sue entered the first session of a local falls prevention program with a walker. As the sessions progressed and Sue did the daily exercises, she was surprised at how quickly her ability to move improved. By the third session, she arrived using only her cane, and she was absolutely beaming her pride. Sue couldn't stop talking about how excited she was that her ability to walk and do normal daily activities improved thanks to the exercises she learned. Her husband, who attended class with her, was also thrilled that Sue was able to participate in activities with him once again.
