John, when Lauren Ashley Simmons spoke up for kids at her local school board meeting, her passion went viral on social media – and it caught our eye the moment it hit our timeline.

We knew right then and there that we just had to get in touch with her. We knew she was the bold leader Texas needed. That’s exactly why we recruited her to run for state representative. And guess what? She won.

In Texas and across the country, we’re putting strong progressive leaders like her in charge to make change where it really counts – but we can’t do it on our own. We are actively seeking out and recruiting individuals we know have what it takes to run for office, but we can’t keep doing this without your support.
