Team, a lot of folks are wondering how Pat just won reelection in his battleground district in the Hudson Valley — especially when Democrats across the country suffered so many tough losses.

In 2022, Pat won reelection by just 3,500 votes — a margin of 1.3%. On Election Day, Pat won by a whopping 13.3%, overperforming the top of the ticket by 11%. It was one of the strongest down-ballot performances for Democrats in the entire country.

Pat was able to deliver such a big win because he put patriotism and freedom front and center. Freedom from gun violence. Freedom to marry who you love. Freedom to breathe clean air and drink clean water. Economic freedom.

The same freedoms Pat fought for overseas — because he loves this country and believes it’s always worth fighting for, no matter who is in the White House or what party is in charge in Congress.

Labels like “moderate” or “progressive” miss the point. All Pat cares about is fighting for the Hudson Valley — and against anyone who is preventing his community from freely living a safe, healthy, and dignified life.

To political pundits used to seeing cookie-cutter campaigns, watching Pat’s campaign left them scratching their heads. It didn’t make sense to them to see Pat rally with AOC for clean water right after going on Fox News to criticize the Biden Administration and MAGA Republicans for failing to deliver for Americans.

But for Hudson Valley voters, this is exactly the type of leadership they demand from their representatives in Washington — and they sent Pat back to Congress with a clear mandate.

Pat will keep working every day to make the Hudson Valley more affordable, more safe, and more free.

Team, this victory was possible because of the early, consistent, and strong support of grassroots supporters like you.

National Republicans and GOP special interest groups poured millions of dollars into the Hudson Valley to mislead voters about Pat’s record and paint him as someone he’s not. But time and time again, this team stepped up at every big moment and made it possible for us to execute one of the best campaigns in the country.

We amassed a massive team of volunteers who knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors and made over half a million phone calls. We aired TV and digital ads in the nation’s single most expensive media market.

We showed the nation that a campaign rooted in freedom and patriotism is a winning strategy for Democrats — and that can help us secure even more key victories for years to come.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we will need to keep up the fight. Donald Trump will be our next president, and Republicans have gained control of the House and Senate. Our rights and freedoms are facing unprecedented threats.
