John, Josh Stein is going to be the next Governor of North Carolina.

This is a victory for our state, for our future, for our rights, and for the Democratic Party.

At a moment when the federal government seems poised to take a hard turn in opposition to the progress we have made on issues ranging from the climate to the economy and further an outright assault on reproductive health care, governors are again our last line of defense.

Experts called this gubernatorial race the most important of 2024 for good reason: Josh’s opponent was unmatched in his extremism and the danger he posed to North Carolina.

Now, instead of facing the threat a far-right governorship posed to women, LGBTQ+ North Carolinians, and the rule of law, we have a leader who will stand up for the rights we hold dear.

I am proud and grateful that our team contributed to Governor-elect Stein’s success. Your support helped Democrats win this race.
