John: War continues to rage 1,000 days after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And now, as temperatures begin to plummet, people are suffering from barrages of strikes on Ukraine's energy grid and other targets.

For millions of Ukrainians, ordinary life remains out of reach. Schools, hospitals and homes have been devastated by missile strikes.

One-third of the population is in need of humanitarian support inside the country. And many families have been displaced several times over.

Your emergency donation today helps families in need survive, recover and rebuild their lives in Ukraine—and in 40+ countries around the world >>

The IRC has been on the ground in Ukraine since 2022, delivering health care and financial support, distributing critical items and providing legal aid and support services. With our partner organizations, our teams have also set up "safe healing and learning spaces" for displaced women and children—and we're working to ensure the needs of women, children and the elderly are met.

**We're also delivering winter cash assistance to families, enabling them to purchase basic necessities, including warm blankets, coats, heaters and fuel for stoves.**

"It's cold, very cold in the apartment. I'm dressed like this, sleeping, piling on even more layers, under three blankets because it's very cold. Especially at night, when you get up, it's as cold outside as it is inside."
—Nina, a Kherson resident whose apartment building was damaged by an attack drone. She was supported by the IRC's distribution of gas cylinders and installation of gas stoves.

Your support brings warmth, hope and relief to families facing the most challenging circumstances. Thank you again for all you do.
