Hi Fellow Advocate,

I don’t think we’ve met, so I wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Ashleigh Deemer¹ and I’m CeaseFirePA’s new Campaign Director. I’ve got nearly 20 years of experience pushing for social change. 

As you may know (it’s ok if you missed Adam’s email, I won’t tell him! 😉), we’re hosting a Post-Election Webinar this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom, and I really hope to meet you there!

Of course, the elections weren’t all bad news. Our narrow gun safety majority held in the PA House, and to that end I have an exciting announcement. Rep. Mike Schlossberg (our incoming Majority Whip) and Rep. Napoleon Nelson (Chair of the PA Black Legislative Caucus) will be joining Adam as guest speakers!

This is a great opportunity for us all to stand in community in the aftermath of this month’s elections and recommit ourselves to building a Commonwealth free from gun violence, no matter what Washington throws at us!

Fellow Advocate,

I’m reaching out to tell you about our Post-Election Webinar next Wednesday, November 20, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. I will be moderating a panel of legislative leaders, talking about the new political landscape in Harrisburg, and our continuing work to #EndGunViolence in PA.

Although a second Trump presidency presents a long road for gun violence prevention at the national level, our gun safety movement here in PA still stands firm. We held our slim majority in the PA House, and our work on the 2025 legislative session is just beginning. Our movement endures, and it is greater than any one moment or single election.

So, will you join us next Wednesday on Zoom to hear what’s next from us? (Hint: We’re not going anywhere!) Our strength is in numbers so bring a friend, and join us as we recommit ourselves to building the safe, thriving Commonwealth that our families deserve.
