Sources say Rahm Emanuel, former Chicago mayor, DCCC chairman, chief of staff to President Obama, and current ambassador to Japan, is considering running for chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
The Party needs new leadership that represents the working class, not the same corporate Democrats who got us here, John.

As mayor of Chicago, Emanuel tried to cover up the wrongful murder of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald at the hands of police in 2014. He also made drastic cuts to public education and cozied up to tech companies, big real estate developers, and the city’s wealthy financial district.
As head of the DCCC and Obama’s chief of staff, Emanuel championed Wall Street deregulation, opposed a public option for healthcare, and advocated for an anti-worker agenda.
AOC perfectly explained why a corporate-friendly Democrat like Emanuel is the opposite of what the Party needs at this moment:
The Democratic Party needs new leadership, not the same out-of-touch establishment that will maintain business as usual. Electing Emanuel as DNC chair would only prove this party’s leaders have learned nothing.
In solidarity,
