Congratulating Trump, Netanyahu said the former president had made "history's greatest comeback". Despite the fact that the Biden administration broke records by sending Israel a whopping $17.9 billion in military aid since October 7th, 2023, it was still not enough to shirk the ire of Netanyahu and the American Israel lobby who attacked Biden and later Harris at every turn for not being pro-Israel enough. Pro-Israel Dems: “I supported Israel w/ 17 Billion and all I got was this lousy Trump win!” The FBI’s special investigation into foreign election interference in the 2016 election found that covert Israeli efforts played a sizable role in bringing Trump to power even more so than that of Russia - history will show that Israel's 2024 efforts played a similar role in Trump's reelection. On top of this, AIPAC helped Republicans defeat Democrats in dozens of House Races this year, even when the Democrat was a staunch supporter of Israel. Whereas most Democrats have turned a blind eye, chided, or slapped Israel on the wrist over their beyond the pale human rights violations, Trump gave Israel a more preferable option, he will “let them finish the Job” - ie; he will let them kill every person left in Gaza, but with no slaps on the wrist. No matter how hard Democrats try, Israel and the American Israel lobby simply like Republicans more. After Israel and the Israel lobby propelled the GOP this 2024 into one of the biggest red waves in recent American history, it’s time Democrats learn that Israel is not our friend and that supporting them is a losing issue that is alienating us from our base.
