Registered apprenticeships are good for employers and good for working people.
Employers get a highly skilled workforce. And working people get paid work experience, classroom learning and a pathway to success in good union jobs.
There are registered apprenticeships across industries like hospitality, the care economy, cybersecurity, construction and advanced manufacturing. The people working in these industries will literally build our future.
The AFL-CIO Working for America Institute (WAI) has resources and experts to help build apprenticeships. Since 1968, WAI has worked to bring together unions, represented employers, partner organizations and the community to build training programs and pathways to create, expand and retain high-quality jobs. As the labor movement, we already know registered apprenticeships are valuable and a path to good union jobs.
Thanks for helping to spread the word.
In Solidarity,
Team AFL-CIO
P.S. The AFL-CIO Organizing Institute (OI) has relaunched a unique program that connects passionate, social- and economic justice-minded activists to careers as union organizers. Are you interested or do you know someone who might be? See details here.
