John: We knew another Donald Trump presidency would be bad for our democracy. But we didn’t think it would be this bad.

During a meeting last week with House Republicans, Trump called on his enablers to “do something” that would somehow allow him to serve a third term in 2028.

As it stands today, the 22nd Amendment of our Constitution bars any president from serving more than two terms — regardless of whether those terms are consecutive or not.

We know Trump has dreams of being a dictator. And that he’ll stop at nothing to hold onto power this time.

We can’t let that happen. We have to mobilize now and be ready to stand up and fight. And we have to prepare now so win every race we possibly can coming up — including several still uncalled House races here in California and in Alaska.
