Team,

As the Trump Administration takes shape in Washington, here in Los Angeles, Mayor Bass is doubling down on her work to help Angelenos pay the bills, keep L.A. safe, defend our immigrants and prepare for our future:

  • Support for L.A. small businesses: We’re rolling out a new permitting system that is cutting delays and costs for small businesses. ProcureLA is a new initiative to help local entrepreneurs do business with the Olympics and other major events, helping businesses grow and hire Angelenos. And we’re continuing small business assistance programs that have so far helped deliver $18 million in support.
  • Bringing more people inside than ever before: Since Day 1, we have worked to bring Angelenos inside with urgency and save lives, and for the first time in years, we were able to bring homelessness down – particularly street homelessness through our Inside Safe initiative. Just last week, Inside Safe moved people inside from encampments in Silver Lake and Rampart Village.
  • Protecting immigrants: L.A. is a city of immigrants, and my job is to defend the rights of every Angeleno. This week, Mayor Bass worked with the City Attorney and City Council to expedite an ordinance to protect the immigrant community – we will always stand together.
  • Making our city safer and preparing to host the world: This week, Mayor Bass swore in a new Chief of the LAPD who is committed to the Mayor’s public safety agenda, including growing the ranks of the department, building trust across Los Angeles, and preparing Los Angeles to host the World Cup, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and anything that comes our way.

Our work is far from over. But no matter what, Los Angeles must stand together. Will you join us? >>
