A recent opinion piece in The Washington Post deemed Senator Tammy Duckworth “Biden’s safest -- and smartest -- vice presidential pick,” going on to say that the Asian American combat veteran and Democratic lawmaker “would also fill in some of the gaps in Biden’s experience while amplifying his vision.”
Duckworth’s continued advocacy for working families, valuable experience in both the House and the Senate, and willingness to sacrifice for the good of the country is beyond dispute.
When asked about the news over her consideration, Duckworth said, “I am honored that my name is even in the mix. I think it’s a good message for working moms everywhere.”
