The most important Facing Race in the history of the conference starts in just two days. We need this moment! Together, with movement makers, community organizers, activists, and artists we will strategize how to build the path forward to advance racial justice.
What we know is that the incoming administration has laid out their plan for the next four years and beyond in Project 2025—a blueprint for destabilization that will have devastating impacts on communities of color. Yet, we in the racial justice movement have pushed through periods that have been filled with grief and despair before. We know we can protect our communities while creating a world that is built in our vision of justice and equity.
Held in St. Louis, Missouri, this year's conference takes place from November 20 through November 22, and will draw together more than 4,000 attendees. And there’s still a chance for you to join us virtually for select sessions. Please check it out, and tune in for our keynote speech from Joy-Ann Reid.
We’re also coming to you to ask for your support. The reason we can make convenings like Facing Race happen is because of our donors, and we need you more than ever before.
At Facing Race we will ground ourselves in the power we can build when our communities unite. We can serve as a force for equity and justice. We will be working on how to embed democratic principles into our systems and processes, how to shift agency capacity to enacting people of color led solutions, and how to institutionalize a commitment to advancing equity when the executive branch threatens the very existence of democracy itself.
Thank you for your support of Race Forward, our biennial conference Facing Race, and our mission to advance equity in our institutions and our culture. It’s more vital than ever before that we lean on and learn from each other. Please consider a donation today to help us carry on.
Sincerely,
Glenn Harris
