Friends and Comrades- Thank you to everyone who attended and presented at our Post-Election Debrief on Saturday! It was a wonderful chance to examine the 2024 election results and come together in solidarity with an eye towards the challenges and opportunities we face over the next 4 years. We especially appreciate how many new folks we had a chance to meet. Our movement gains strength with every person who recognizes the importance of challenging both the MAGA movement and establishment Democrats!

For Gaza: Tell our Senators Vote Yes on JRD!
|
The genocide and starvation in Gaza continues unabated and the US continues to fund these atrocities, including a proposed $20 billion weapons deal. Senators Sander, Welch, and Merkley have introduced six Joint Resolutions of Disapproval(JRD) to to stop this weapons deal from going forward and we need our Senators to vote YES on these resolutions!
You can use this link to email Senators Heinrich and Lujan to demand they do what they can to end the slaughter and starvation in Gaza. You can also use this link to sign a pledge to call their offices to demand they vote YES on the JRD!

After the General Meeting, please join our Reading Group as they start Border and Rule by Harsha Walia. In Border and Rule, one of North America’s foremost thinkers and immigrant rights organizers delivers an unflinching examination of migration as a pillar of global governance and gendered racial class formation.
The Reading Group will have their first meeting on this important work on Sunday, November 24th at 4pm at CHOMP Food Hall.

Housing Working Group Thursday!

Mental Health 1st Aid Training!

Are you interested in working on outreach to Santa Fe's unhoused population? If so, please consider signing up for this upcoming Mental Health 1st Aid Clinic on Thursday, 11/21 from 9am-1pm, presented by the Santa Fe County Coalition.
This training will cover risk factors and warning signs of mental health challenges, how to help those who may be having mental health issues but don't have access to services, and positive and effective strategies for engaging with members of our community.

Calling All Performing Artists!

The Santa Fe Teen Center is calling for artists to perform during the Posada Latina Southside on Dec. 19 from 4-8 p.m. Submissions are accepted for any kind of youth performance, from music to theater to visual arts and crafts.
