The Round Home is a safe home in the Philippines for children recovering from sex trafficking. We have cared for survivors as young as a one-year-old; many of the children are victims of online exploitation.
The children help tend the farm animals and the gardens at the home. This is primarily a part of our holistic approach to therapy, but an added benefit, especially during the pandemic, is that this practice has made the home somewhat self-sustaining. While the children are learning to nurture, they are also helping to meet their own physical needs amidst sudden local food scarcity.
Meanwhile, the children are processing the instability of our world and that can be especially difficult for survivors of child trafficking. But our workers are there with them, highlighting therapeutic messages during this global crisis that will help the children to persevere in their healing journeys.
Thank you for holding steady for children during this time and ensuring there is a protected place of healing for them.
