A new era: As Donald Trump fills out his leadership team, Heritage has been applauding many of them, including Sen. Marco Rubio, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Pete Hegseth. (Click on the links above to read Heritage’s statements about each.) 

• Trump also picked Heritage Visiting Fellow Tom Homan, former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the “Border Czar” to restore law and order and secure our borders. 
• And he tapped Heritage Visiting Fellow John Ratcliffe to serve as CIA director. Ratcliffe previously served as the Director of National Intelligence in the first Trump administration.

Drain the swamp: Trump also announced the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), helmed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. The non-governmental initiative will target waste and regulations. 

• "This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in government waste, which is a lot of people!" Musk posted on X. 
• Senior Policy Analyst David Ditch said that: “The days of the swamp drowning Americans in reckless deficits and endless red tape are over.”

Creative disruption: Applications for the 5thround of the Heritage Innovation Prizes are now open! Each year, Heritage donates a total of $1 million to results-oriented non-profits that have developed breakthrough solutions to the country’s most pressing problems.

• The Innovation Prizes are intended to spark creative disruption within the conservative movement, particularly in areas such as education choice, parental rights, border security, crime, fiscal policy, and more.

Man up: A new Heritage report shows that the Biden administration’s “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility” policies are throwing men under the bus.

• “This report exposes the administration’s pattern—under the guise of ‘equity’—of promoting women at higher rates than men, with no logical explanation other than preference based on sex alone,” said Heritage Senior Research Fellow Simon Hankinson. DEIA "has all but dismantled equal opportunities and treatment."
