Here in California, we stand with our immigrant brothers and sisters, and we will fight back against Trump and Vance’s cruelty.
Vice President-elect JD Vance has had a lot of disparaging things to say about immigrants, including a comment he made in September on CNBC, saying if immigration was the path to prosperity, then "America would be the most prosperous country in the world.”
Newsflash… America IS the most prosperous country in the world.
Not only that, but California — the state with the most immigrants in the U.S. — is the most prosperous state in the country and the fifth-largest economy IN THE WORLD.
Immigrants — like my mom — make our communities, our state, and our nation great, no matter what JD Vance says. While we have plenty of work to do to continue lowering prices and making life more affordable for working families everywhere, demonizing immigrants is not the solution.
The incoming Trump administration is already planning mass deportations and detentions on Day 1, instead of prioritizing compassionate, comprehensive immigration reform.
Here in California, we are stronger because of our immigrant brothers and sisters. We stand by the millions of people who, like me, weren’t born here but who came here for a better life and more opportunities.
We will fight back against Trump and Vance’s cruelty and xenophobia. If you’re with us, pitch in a grassroots contribution of $5 or more to power our work.

As California’s Attorney General, I will not stand for bigotry or discrimination against our immigrant community. We will rise together, or not at all.
In solidarity,
Rob
