Honored to be Re-Elected Majority Leader for 119th Congress

I am honored to be re-elected by my colleagues to serve as the Majority Leader for the 119th Congress, where I will continue to fight each and every day to make life safe and affordable for the American people. This means passing legislation to secure America’s southern border, unleash American energy, lower costs for hardworking families by getting inflation under control, rein in costly regulations, keep our communities safe, bolster our national security, and reject tax hikes.

I look forward to working with President Trump and bringing bills to the House Floor that address the issues most important to the American people.

House GOP Will Be Ready on Day One

Last week, the American people voted to make their voices heard, and the result was a resounding mandate to reject radical far-left policies and implement President Trump’s America First agenda. With control of the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, Republicans have been given the opportunity to quickly begin reversing the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous policies and restoring America to greatness.

I am excited about this opportunity to work with President Trump to deliver a better America.

House Passes WEP/GPO Repeal

The Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset (WEP/GPO) is a flawed and unfair formula that has harmed thousands of public servants in Louisiana and around the country, and it must be fixed.

Earlier this year, I announced the House would be voting on this issue. Now, I am pleased to share that I joined my House colleagues this week in overwhelmingly voting to repeal the WEP/GPO. The bill has been sent to the Senate for consideration.
