This is an urgent call for help.
Hard working men and women – even here in the US – are being forced to choose between going to work, and risking their lives at their workplaces, or losing their jobs. These vulnerable communities, like immigrants and low-wage workers, are essential to our economy and food supply, and they need our help.
Families living in poverty here in the US and around the world are especially vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19. They are less likely to have sick pay or be able to continue their work from home. COVID-19 threatens to push half a billion people into poverty, and without a safety net, families will struggle to survive – and recover.
You can help stop this virus from devastating the most vulnerable. Oxfam is on the ground. We're in North Carolina working with local partners to distribute cash to workers who have been laid off and advocating for better working conditions, for the sake of our workers and our food supply. We're counting on support from the Oxfam community in order to address this pandemic and keep up our work against poverty in more than 90 countries around the world.

With the help of the Oxfam community, we're coordinating our response to COVID-19 with partner organizations, government ministries of health, and key UN agencies, aiming to ramp up our efforts to reach more than 14 million people. In addition to our hygiene work delivering soap and clean water to families to stop the spread of disease, we're working closely with local partners to support what their communities need, like cash assistance to help families purchase food.
Responding to COVID-19 as well as keeping up our work supporting families living in poverty worldwide is only possible with the support of the Oxfam Community. Please, donate today >>
Thank you for standing with us.
