A PERSONAL NOTE

??

Well, I had a lengthy note all typed out and my server glitched and now it's gone. But, it was getting long so I'll turn it into an article instead.

As the weather gets colder, I'm beginning to work on cozy projects. I have some embroidery projects to finish for holiday gifts, and I'm doing a bit of fall cleaning, as my ankle allows.

Physical therapy is absolutely brutal but it's also helping immensely. I can now get around inside my apartment most of the time, unaided. First thing in the morning and last thing at night are tough, but during the day, I'm hobbly but upright and without a cane. I'm not ready yet to walk on uneven surfaces outdoors, but I'm thrilled with every single bit of progress.

I find that the day after PT, I am so sore and exhausted that I can barely do anything, so I'm making it a focus to rest, ice, and elevate on that day.

None of this is meant as a complaint - I'm overjoyed that I seem to be exceeding my surgeon's expectations. I think all the people I have had pulling for me has to have had something to do with this remarkable recovery. There's still an incredibly long way to go until "normal" but I'm so incredibly grateful for every improvement.

I'm working on a new novel and a very cool prepper project to launch on Black Friday. This weekend, I'll be winding up the Fall Fundraiser to keep us afloat through the holidays.
