Congressman Al Green Hosts Inaugural Congressional App Challenge Demo Day for Students in the Ninth Congressional District

(Houston, TX)— On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Congressman Al Green hosted the inaugural Ninth Congressional District of Texas Congressional App Challenge (CAC) Demo Day. This competition encourages students in the Ninth Congressional District of Texas to learn coding by developing software applications, supporting the next generation of innovators in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). 

Congressman Al Green stated, “I want to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of the students in our district participating in the Congressional App Challenge. Their dedication to developing innovative applications showcases their creativity and supports the future of STEM innovators. Our youth must learn to code and engage with STEM fields, as these skills will empower them to drive meaningful change in our communities and help shape the future of our nation.”
