John —
Donald Trump promised to name only the “best people” to his government, and this week, he followed through! Read about them below, and consider a contribution to JanePAC so we can elect leaders who will hold them accountable to the people 👇
Trump has announced a slate of unqualified, biased, conflicted sycophants to run our country — and we can only imagine what havoc they’ll wreak.
He is giving Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy untold powers over “efficiency” in the “Department of Government Efficiency” or “DOGE” office. He also named now-former Republican Representative Matt Gaetz (who has faced investigation by the Department of Justice and the House Ethics Committee related to sex trafficking, sexual misconduct, and accepting “improper gifts” while in office, and who we had to check was actually a lawyer) as his Attorney General.
He plans to place the Defense Department in the entirely incapable hands of Fox News anchor Pete Hegseth, a decision that is already sending shockwaves through the national security community. And he plans to allow anti-vax conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to “go wild” on public health.
Doug Burgum, governor of North Dakota, is Trump’s nominee to be the Interior Secretary. Burgum is intimately connected with the fossil fuel industry and helped ensure millions of dollars in contributions to the Trump campaign from oil & gas companies. He’ll enforce Trump’s “drill, baby, drill” mandate to ensure those companies can continue to pump up more and more “liquid gold.”
Meanwhile, Trump is naming former Congressman Lee Zeldin to lead the EPA in 2025. With Zeldin at the helm, the EPA may be poised to roll back decades of climate progress. Zeldin’s abysmal record — including a 14% lifetime score from the League of Conservation Voters — reveals he’s fully aligned with an agenda that threatens to obliterate decades of climate progress.
Look, John, these folks are ready to help put Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda into play on Day 1. We need leaders to step up on the state and local levels to mitigate the harm.
JanePAC’s mission is to support down-ballot candidates who will defend our climate and our rights. Can you power our critical work by contributing $25 to the fight?
Thank you,
JanePAC
