Who goes to libraries anymore? A lot of people, actually.
- Over half of Gen Z and Millennials visit libraries, a higher rate than older generations.
- Over half of all Americans are registered at a local library.
- 125 million Americans attended library programs in 2019, double the number in 2004.

Libraries are more popular than ever.
But they’re under attack by extremists who are against the sharing of information. As the Washington Post wrote in July, “Nothing threatens authoritarianism like a quiet place to explore knowledge.”
Or, as Time puts it, “Attacks on libraries are attacks on democracy.”
That’s why we stand with EveryLibrary, which gives support to libraries when they need it most.
In September, we sent a grant to EveryLibrary, money that will help the group in its mission to offer pro-bono consulting, strategic advice and financial aid to libraries so they can fight off censorship campaigns and win the funding they need to stay open.
To date, CREDO Mobile has donated over $2.1 million to nonprofit groups working for libraries, for free speech and against censorship. Groups like the ACLU, Free Speech for People and EveryLibrary.
If you’re a CREDO Mobile customer, thank you for standing with us—and with EveryLibrary.
If you’re not a customer, please consider joining. You’ll get all you want from a phone company: competitive plans, great deals on new devices and the nation’s top-rated, most reliable network.
And you’ll get much more. You’ll get an easy, effective way to make a difference in the world by generating donations for progressive nonprofits dedicated to the causes you believe in.
