The AG has a record of defending reproductive rights and is prepared to keep it up.
As California’s Attorney General, Rob has spent the last few years fighting to defend reproductive freedom, and with the incoming Trump White House and Republican Congress, he’s ready to keep it up.
Rob was recently interviewed by California Healthline about his commitment and passion for protecting the right to abortion access and other forms of reproductive healthcare.

When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, AG Bonta had California’s Department of Justice get right to work researching and preparing ways to fight back and respond to a potential nationwide abortion ban.
Since then, he’s supported enshrining abortion and contraception rights into the state constitution, filed briefs to protect access to medication abortion and oppose extreme abortion bans in states like Texas and Idaho, filed lawsuits against predatory and deceptive crisis pregnancy centers, sued a California hospital that denied a patient emergency abortion care despite threats to her health and life, and took action when the city of Beverly Hills illegally blocked the opening of an abortion clinic, and much more.
Rob is passionate about this issue because he firmly believes that every woman and person deserves bodily autonomy and self-determination, and that no elected official should get in the way of a decision that should be made between a person, their doctor, and their faith.
Like Rob said in his interview, we’re in a fight for freedom right now, especially reproductive freedom. As long as he’s in office, the AG will give it his all to defend our rights from being rolled back by Trump and MAGA Republicans.
If you support Rob’s work to protect abortion care and other crucial rights, pitch in anything you can afford before tomorrow’s mid-month fundraising deadline!
