Dear John,

Earlier this week, Susan Collins said she was “shocked” by Donald Trump’s nomination of Matt Gaetz for Attorney General, but this isn’t the first time she has expressed her tepid disappointment in Trump’s nominees.

In 2018, Susan Collins voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, over the concerns of thousands of Maine women and despite her promise to protect Roe v. Wade. She later said she was “misled.”

Today, “Shocked Susie” is back in the news with her announcement that she intends to seek a sixth term in the U.S. Senate in 2026.

Susan collins plans to run for sixth term in the Senate

For nearly ten years Susan Collins has been “shocked”, “appalled”, and “disappointed” by the leader of her own Party, and for the same amount of time she has failed to hold him accountable for his actions.

It’s time to hold Susan accountable for her lack of leadership and unwillingness to stand up for what is right and put our country before her Party. We’re asking you to help us send a message to Susan Collins that we are fed up with her fake concern and moderation.

You can help us lay the groundwork now to hold Susan accountable, take her on in 2026, and flip this seat and the U.S. Senate for Democrats.
