Earthjustice pioneered this state-level strategy in California in 2017, during the first Trump administration. We’ve since expanded to New York, the D.C. region, and beyond.  

*Making the case for clean energy at the state level. Earthjustice attorneys will continue to use state-based public utility commissions to shut down coal and gas plants, clear the path for renewable energy, and secure policies and investments to electrify transportation, buildings, and industry.

*Earthjustice attorneys will continue to work with partners around the globe in places like Indonesia, South Africa, and Mexico to stop oil and gas development and remove barriers to renewable energy.
