Delaware Business Now — "Delaware gets $127.5 million in federal Clean Ports funding"
John, we have some great news!
As part of the Inflation Reduction Act’s Clean Ports Program, Delaware will receive $127.5 million in funding to curb pollution and create jobs in the Port of Wilmington.
This program is designed to help ports across the country transition to fully zero-emissions operations. Chris knows that investing in our infrastructure creates a cleaner world and builds a stronger economy where everyone can thrive. As Delaware’s member of the Appropriations Committee, he is proud to have secured this funding for the Port of Wilmington that will support good-paying, union jobs for First State workers.
As we increase economic growth and competitiveness through investments in Delaware’s infrastructure, Chris is excited to look for more ways like this that advance climate resilience, reduce inflation, and further equip Delaware to meet the needs of the 21st century. However, with a new Congress and president taking office soon, we need to make sure we keep investing in creating jobs and tackling the climate crisis.
It’s on us to tell President-elect Trump and the next Congress we need to keep addressing the climate crisis. Will you join Chris now by adding your name to the petition today? >>
Thank you,
