Since taking office, my first and foremost focus has always been keeping our community safe. Especially during this public health crisis, I have prioritized the health and safety of our community above all else.
I'll be honest: campaign fundraising isn't my favorite thing to do. I’ve always led by example with the mindset that my work serving Maricopa County will speak for itself.
But as my team has reminded me, it's a necessary thing to do if we're going to continue building on the tremendous progress of the past 3 years. We are facing a deep-pocketed opponent who will do whatever he can to undo our progress and return to the abuses of the past.
You know what we’re up against, John, so I’ll keep this short -- my team tells me we're still $2,000 from where we need to be. Can you chip in before midnight tonight to help us hit our mid-month goal and stay on course to defeat Joe Arpaio?
