Hello John,
As we navigate the fallout from the elections and prepare to prevent further erosion of rights at home and escalation of the brutal assault on Gaza and Lebanon, there is no better time to get involved in your local community and organize for peace! We will be hosting two Internationalism Committee focused orientations next week for you to come learn more about DSA and organizing for international solidarity!
1. In-person option will be at Washington Street Community Center on Saturday the 23rd at 12-1:30PM (RSVP here)
2. Virtual option will be available on Wednesday, Nov 20th from 7-8:30PM on Zoom (Register here)
DSA is the largest socialist organization in the United States with almost 100,000 members and chapters in every state in the country. All DSA chapters offer multiple different avenues for engagement and participation in activism and political action. The easiest way to get plugged in is to join your local Denver DSA chapter by following these steps:
Sign up here - https://act.dsausa.org/donate/membership/
Forward your dues receipt to [email protected]
You will be sent a link to the Denver DSA Slack group - find a committee you like, join it and get involved!
DSA does require monthly dues to maintain membership but there are multiple pricing options depending on your income and the amount you would like to contribute overall to the organization.
The Internationalism Committee (IC) in Denver DSA focuses especially on current global affairs including Palestine, Cuba and Kashmir solidarity work, amongst other issues. In the wake of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, the Internationalism committee has coordinated heavily with the Colorado Palestine Coalition to help participate in and organize different events including marches, teach-ins, etc.
In Solidarity,
Denver DSA Internationalism Committee
