John, it's Congressman Hank Johnson.

Last week, we did not achieve the outcome we were so hopeful for. Vice President Harris ran a hard-fought campaign, and she made history regardless of the outcome. But before we hunker down and begin working to change our circumstances in upcoming elections, I want to take a moment to thank you.

The Atlanta Suburbs (specifically counties within our district) were one of few places to shift further to the LEFT—a vastly different trend than the nationwide swing to the right.

And it is all because of your donations, your in-person support, and our word-of-mouth movement that caused the shift to re-elect me and continue building the infrastructure we need to make a difference in upcoming elections. You can see it right on The Washington Post's graph, John. Our work makes a difference.

I'm so grateful that you put your trust in me and understanding that I am going to continue delivering for our community—because with the outcome of these yet-decided Congressional elections and cabinet appointments, the balance of the House is going to be close, and our established victories will be key to resisting the MAGA influence that we'll see in the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of our government.

We've spent years talking about 1️⃣ how Supreme Court decisions are being bought with undisclosed luxury gifts. 2️⃣ How justices and business executives are having secret back-door meetings to cut regulations and corporate taxes in exchange for a justice's personal financial gain. And 3️⃣ how big money has propped up MAGA politicians and their appointees in a vicious cycle at the expense of hardworking Americans. 

These next four years are going to be hard, John. 

But I've been in Congress for long enough to know that Georgians are worth fighting for, and now is not the time to give up.

We deserve better, and this year we proved that our community has the organizing skills to get it the next time around—now we need to spend time supporting each other, growing our coalition beyond our district, and restoring the faith in our vulnerable democracy. 

I'll be with you in that fight every step of the way.
