No matter who wins in any election in this country, our mission to stand up for rural Americans stays the same.

Voters upset about a number of issues have spoken and voted in Donald Trump for another four years.

Make no mistake that One Country Project is willing to work with anybody to move common-sense rural and agriculture policy forward.

But in that same spirit, we will not sit by and let our leaders in charge prey on the vulnerable – seniors on fixed incomes, working families barely making ends meet, young people unsure of how to take the next step, new Americans adjusting to life in the U.S., or any other struggling community that makes up our vast rural population.

We believe in cutting taxes for working families, expanding clinics and hospitals in rural areas, strengthening Medicare and Social Security, and transforming our immigration system, and we'll be right here fighting for the 60 million Americans who live in rural communities in the United States.

As we take time to rest and reflect and think about where we can make improvements, make sure you're taking time to do something good for others, relax, regroup, and prepare for the fights to come.

Thanks for being in the fight with us.

Heidi
