Earlier this week we celebrated Veterans Day to honor people who served. Today, we not only continue to celebrate our veterans but we are fighting for our moms in the military.

Our military mothers — those who serve and military spouses — have a 2-3 times higher risk than the general population of experiencing a maternal mental health complication. [1]

Let’s honor our military moms by demanding that Congress do something about this awful disparity by supporting the MOMS (Maintaining our Obligation to Moms who Serve) Act.

The MOMS Act would bring evidence-based maternal mental health programs into the military health care system for military service members and their families.

We know that serving in the armed forces is challenging, and military moms deserve adequate mental health support. By supporting the MOMS Act, we can show them that we value their service and sacrifices.
