Good afternoon, and welcome back

Last weekend marked Remembrance Sunday, and it was an honour to lay a wreath at the City of Manchester service in St Peters Square, to commemorate all those who have given their lives in service of our nation.

I dropped into Burnage Library over the weekend, went campaigning in Longsight and presented one of my first business awards!
HIGHLIGHTS
Burnage Library

Great to drop into Burnage Library with my Grandson Lyle, I'm not sure which of us enjoyed building in their Lego club more!

They're a wonderful community library staffed with volunteers, with a packed events schedule, providing something for everyone - you can find out more about their events here: Burnage Activity Hub – ACTIVITY | LIBRARY | LEARNING

Please do support them if you can.
BUSINESS AWARD: CAKE BOX LONGSIGHT

A big well done to Cake Box in Longsight, who were nominated for my 2024 Local Business Awards.

Remember you can nominate and vote for your favourite businesses at this link: tinyurl.com/AGBusinessAwards

Winners will be announced on Small Business Saturday: December 7th
Manchester Remembrance Sunday service

It was my honour to attend the City of Manchester Remembrance Sunday service in St Peter's Square.

It was a beautiful and moving service, involving representatives from across the city, and from all kinds of diverse backgrounds.

I laid a wreath commemorating the citizens of Burnage, Denton, Gorton, Haughton Green, Levenshulme and Longsight who made the ultimate sacrifice - alongside remembering those from the Empire and Commonwealth that fought for our freedoms in two World Wars and all conflicts since.

We will remember them.
Remembrance Sunday across Gorton and Denton

As I was to attend the service in Manchester City Centre on Remembrance Sunday, I took the time to visit memorials across the constituency to pay my respects.

Councillors across the constituency laid wreaths at each service on my behalf.
