May 15, 2020: Seven (7) states are letting their stay-at-home orders expire today—Arizona, Delaware, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, and Vermont.

While New York state orders are being lifted, they will remain in effect for New York City.

Ballotpedia reports that 17 states have previously lifted stay-at-home orders and 7 states never enacted them. Four more are expected to let the orders expire next week.

Sixty percent (60%) of voters nationwide believe every business that establishes safe social distancing protocols should be allowed to open. The latest Scott Rasmussen survey found that just 26% oppose the idea.

Ballotpedia is Documenting America’s Path to Recovery on a daily basis. They track the status of reopening in all 50 states, provide in-depth summaries of the latest reopening plans, and provide the latest stories on other reopening plans and ideas. To stay informed, click here.
