John,
In the coming years we are going to have to fight to protect our basic rights, from reproductive freedom to the freedom to protest and openly dissent.
We cannot give in to despair, as much as these election results may hurt or depress us. When I think about the future, I think about my three children and the country they are inheriting.
Giving up on our work for a brighter future would cede our country to Trump and his cruelty, which is why I am reaching out to today. Our future is worth fighting for.
The ACLU needs our support as they gear up for legal challenges in the days, months, and years ahead. They filed 434 legal challenges against the 2016-2020 Trump administration and obstructed some of his worst policies like the Muslim ban.1
So today, I am asking: Will you turn your anger into action and make a contribution to the ACLU to ensure they have the resources to fight back against Trump on day #1?
