** A Word from Our Board Chair
------------------------------------------------------------

On the heels of the NASCAR Championship Race Weekend, Phoenix Raceway President and Valley of the Sun United Way Board of Directors Chair, Latasha Causey, is focused on building community and improving the future.

Whether in the boardroom or at the racetrack, in both of her roles, Latasha uplifts opportunities for our community to connect, convene and fight for solutions by focusing on what brings us together to unite us for a more equitable and thriving future for children, families and individuals throughout the Valley.

Communities across the country rely on United Way and we remain committed to serving our community and remaining a safe space for people of all backgrounds and interests. With your support, charitable giving and collaboration, we have amassed measurable change in our community through our MC2026 plan for Mighty Change ([link removed]) .

** Dedicated Volunteers Gathered Together for a Day of Action
------------------------------------------------------------

In October, Valley of the Sun United Way mobilized over 400 volunteers for our annual Day of Action presented by Cruise ([link removed]) ! Together, these volunteers completed a variety of service projects at 10 different locations throughout our Valley community.

Specific accomplishments included planting 70 trees in Lindo Park, packing 3,000 snack bags for children facing food insecurity, and assembling 500 meal boxes for families in need.

Through these collective efforts, Valley of the Sun United Way was able to uplift thousands of lives and drive meaningful change for individuals and families across Maricopa County.
