John,
For years now, Big Oil companies like Energy Transfer have been seeking
the downfall of grassroots organizations like Greenpeace, pushing for a
green, equitable future.
This coming February, Greenpeace is scheduled to go on trial in North
Dakota after being sued by Energy Transfer for $300 million related to
2016 protests at Standing Rock.
Energy Transfer’s legal threat is very real. This lawsuit must be fought
not just for this one instance, but for future activists who may be
similarly targeted.
Lawsuits like these aren’t meant to do anything other than to bully groups
like Greenpeace into silence.
We're helping Greenpeace fight back,
John — but it won't be easy. And
we'll need your help if we're going to be victorious!
[ [link removed] ]Can you take a minute right now to sign our open letter to Energy
Transfer calling on them to drop their lawsuit against Greenpeace? All
signatures will be delivered to Energy Transfer so we need to show them
that our movement is actually growing louder and stronger.
