Hey folks,

This election was nothing like we’d hoped. For many, it was the single worst night that they’d had in four years. I share those sentiments, and I can tell you that I’ve found having like-minded individuals to talk to and volunteer with helps. That is why we’re encouraging all Democrats in Iowa to join their county party today. 

Joining your County Democratic Party also helps our chances at changing the future. The better we are at organizing locally, the better our turnout will be in the years to come. Our grassroots efforts are already strong, but with increased membership in our county parties, they’ll be able to grow even deeper.

County parties need your help. Call your county chair and offer your skills, your talents, and your passion. A conversation centered around what you would like to do to help and finding out what your county chair needs to strengthen local efforts could really make a difference.

We can take this dark moment and use it to create something full of light. We can’t give up now, Iowans; we have our families, our friends, and ourselves to protect. The only person that apathy helps is Donald Trump.
