Water conservation [ [link removed] ]

New Jersey is under a *drought warning [ [link removed] ]* due to unusually low precipitation, above-average temperatures, and deteriorating water supply conditions. New Jerseyans are urged to conserve water to help manage the State's water supplies. Because of the extremely dry weather, *Stage 3 fire restrictions remain in effect [ [link removed] ].* All open fires are prohibited, except those in elevated stoves using propane, natural gas, or electricity. Wood, charcoal, and kerosene torches are not allowed. These measures are important to limit fire risk.

Neither can timber rattlesnakes, blue-spotted salamanders, or any other *endangered wildlife that call New Jersey home [ [link removed] ].* You can help NJ Fish & Wildlife identify places where roadways are impeding wildlife movement with the NJ Wildlife Tracker, a new web application. Use the app on any web-enabled device to report rare wildlife sightings and "any" animal sightings on roadways. An *informative YouTube video [ [link removed] ] *further explains the State's efforts to keep its wildlife habitats connected.
