Dear John,
Last month, our team traveled to Washington, DC, for our fall Capitol Hill Intern Summit. Attendees heard from Caitlin Canter, Senior Vice President of Government Relations at Avoq, and Jennifer Huddleston, Senior Fellow in Technology Policy at the Cato Institute. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and talk personally with both speakers, learn more about NeW, network with fellow conservative women, and receive free professional headshots. It was one for the books!
The holidays are officially upon us now, and we are thrilled to share some exciting opportunities we have in store.
Join us on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 7:00pm ET via Zoom for an engaging holiday book club discussion ([link removed]) featuring the book Family Unfriendly: How Our Culture Made Raising Kids Much Harder Than It Needs to Be ([link removed]) , written by Timothy Carney. Karin Lips, President of NeW, recently hosted Tim on The Conservative Woman's Guide podcast, where they discussed his book and ways to restore a culture that supports family life and strengthens community ties. The first 20 NeW National Members to sign up will receive a free copy of the book sent directly to them! You can learn more and sign up today by clicking here ([link removed]) .
Applications are open for our 2025 NeW Student Media Fellowship ([link removed]) . Through this exclusive program, students will have the chance to have their writing published and participate in live media hits. This fellowship will be offered from January until March, and meetings will take place virtually once a month on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm. Be sure to share this opportunity with a student you know or an intern in your office! ([link removed]) Applications close on November 30.
All the best,
