Dear Friend,

In these uncertain times, many Coloradans are worried about what last week’s election means for our community.  I appreciate many of you sharing your concerns with me directly–and we are listening.  We have heard from parents, immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and those who care about our fundamental rights.

I assure you, friend , that we are ready to confront the challenges ahead.

Some have raised concerns about the possibility of indiscriminate, mass deportations that will affect citizens, our friends, and neighbors in violation of due process of law.

Others worry about potential restrictions on our fundamental freedoms, such as access to abortion care and the right to marry whom we love—two freedoms that Colorado voters decisively protected in our state constitution last week.

I addressed these crucial questions with Joy Reid on MSNBC, emphasizing our commitment to safeguarding our rights. Click here to watch the clip.

As your Attorney General, I am dedicated to defending Colorado and the rule of law.  I have protected our rights in court many times, and I won’t hesitate to do so again.

Here in Colorado, we are committed to defending our freedoms and treating people fairly.  This mission will continue to be my true north.

I still believe in America, a nation I cherish.  It’s the country that liberated my family from the horrors of Holocaust concentration camps and welcomed us as refugees seeking a better life after World War II.  I am committed to doing all I can to deliver on America’s promise of ensuring liberty and justice for all.

Thank you for your support for this vital work.  Together, we can uphold the values and rights we hold dear.
