After months of hair-on-fire messaging, I know you’re probably tired and burnt out on political messaging. As a meteorologist trusted with people’s safety for decades, this race is personal: When dangerous hurricanes wreaked havoc on communities across the country, Marianette Miller-Meeks started peddling dangerous hurricane conspiracy theories – because acknowledging the very real devastation of climate change isn’t something extreme Republicans or Project 2025 supporters will allow.
When we vote for leaders who believe in working for the people, it’s always a vote against the politics of hate and division.

Miller-Meeks won this seat in 2020 by 6 votes, and with this year’s race for IA-01 is still too close to call, and it’s going to a recount.
We must ensure every last ballot is counted if we’re going to flip this seat and keep more Midwestern voices heard in 2025.
